Saturday in South Dakota

August 8
We started Saturday off with Black Hills Bagels!! Best Bagels in the world!! Off to Bear Country USA, 2nd drive through!! I do not usually use pictures without people, but there are some posted here for the boys!

They do not mind cars driving around!! He headed right toward us!

We were lucky enough to see the feeding truck come!! Bears from all over gathered!! It was so cool!! Burgers, buns, apples, carrots, raw scraps of meat etc.

The boys needed a picture of the bear swimming!!

OK, very exciting . . . we all put our names in a drawing, along with some others, to play with the baby bears! My mom was picked!! I screamed!! We were thrilled!! Josh got to go in behind the wire to snap photos!

They put her in overalls and boots! She could not believe how strong these bears were! One really wanted to get in her boot! He would not leave it alone! The head lady ended up shooing it away! The gal filled my mom's pockets with treats! She said the bears had just eaten so she didn't think they would be too crazy!

Josh's hand feeding treats!

They were crazy though!

Our little bear cub couldn't stay awake any longer!

Next: Old McDonald Farm - a petting zoo! It was darling!! The boys fed lambs bottles!

These crazy baby goats climbed all over dad . . .

which Grant hated!!

Poor thing was literally terrified!

Trent held a baby chick!

We couldn't believe we eat these!

The pig race was too fun!! Grant wanted to run around the outside with them!! The pigs were running for cherry Kool-aid!

There were chickens and roosters all over! Trent decided he wanted to catch one! He went running and we were cracking up! A guy caught one and let Trent hold it! He held it until dad came out of the bathroom and wanted to take it home! Josh had him set it down . . . but then he picked it up again by himself!! It was time to go and he said, "Let me catch one more, I am so good at this!"

By the road side of the farm there were mountain goats walking across big tall red bridges! They built them so they could be seen from the road! There was a ramp they could walk up to hang out on the bridge! Very cool!

Next: We walked through the mission home and saw the many many changes that had been made! I was flooded with emotions!!

Next: The Olive Garden!

Next:Toys R Us - where Grant chose a motorcycle and Trent chose a squishy dragon.

Next:Swimming at the hotel, then I ran to WalMart with my parents and Blake! (We brought home OG cheesecake for Josh and me.)
