 While Lydia napped Blake, Grant and I ran to get the cookies and balloons!!  Before we left Blake crashed into Josh's motorcycle on his scooter and got a goose egg!!  (to add to his darling forehead from falling/jumping off the bathroom counter)  He was trying to show me how his scooter wheels light up in the garage! Blake fell asleep in the car on the way to the Reese's!  It is always hard to wake up!  Poor Dad was having a heck of a time with West Jordan City and was 2 hours late!

Hard to see our darling dinosaur balloons, some had popped in the wind!!  And my cute dinosaur wrapping paper!! 

 Blake picked the candles!

 Yeah, a smile from the birthday boy!!  Opening presents in the wind was crazy and crowded!!

 Blake wanted sugar cookies and a pile of presents like Jack had!!  We definitely went for quantity this time (which is very unlike us!!!)  Coloring book, new shoes (which he desperately needed), cheap blow up boxing gloves and a blow up punching bag etc.  Grant organized his gifts for him!! (Trent,who asked for $$ this year was shocked looking at the couch!  We went one by one and talked about prices to give him an idea of quality verses quantity!!)

Let the birthday begin!

Grandma and Grandpa were going to be out of town for Blake's birthday, so they took us to the Olive Garden!!  Blake's choice!!  He got very silly because he was excited!!  Grandma had balloons in the car too!!

24th of July

We attended Jack's party at noon!  He is 1!  It poured rain hard then was sunny and nice!  Then we headed to the lake with the Becker's and Maines!  We had to get off the lake because of lightening!!  Purple Turtle to follow then fireworks, where it rained on us again!!  Fun day!!

Cabin

We went to the cabin with the Johnsons!!

Haircut

Lydia got a haircut and was so good! She loved the slide!  The lady asked her, "Ponytails or braids?"  She chose braids!  I love how the lady did her hair, I didn't think it was long enough!!  The rest of the day she would touch her braids and say, "I like my haircut!"

Kids

Swimming at my parent's house 7-16 I turned to make sure Blake had his life jacket on!  HUGE splash!!!  My phone!! Lydia threw my phone in the pool!!  I love my phone!!  Put it in rice till Tuesday mid-day and it works!!!  It is a miracle, the phone is fine!!!!

Trent made a rope swing, took his turn and landed on his back on the wood!!  My sweet little dramatic guy had the wind knocked out of him! He came walking toward me, hunched over, trying to get a breath, panicking!!  Sweet little guy barely got the words out, "Mom, call 911." I held him and had him take slow breaths trying so hard not to laugh!!!  I called Josh that afternoon and told him the story and laughed so hard I cried!! It felt good!!

Sunday

I teach the Sunbeams at church!  Blake had some gum in his mouth when I took my little Sunbeams to get a drink!  He walked toward me with a mouth full of water.  After swallowing he said, "Mom I just let my gum go for a little swim!"

Lydia loving on Emmeline again!!  She adores that little baby!! (Josh is not wearing a headband, it is his motorcycle glasses on backward!)

Trent and I ran to Smith's to get doughnuts and their sidewalk sale was going on!  Trent decided to buy Lydia a pool from the brother's!

When she woke up we did the "birthday quilt!" She was thrilled about her new assortment of glasses! 

Breakfast!!  The boys could hardly wait for presents!!

Grandpa Verne came up to see her and Grandma Laura came over for the morning!

Lydia loves Lightning McQueen, so the towel and Doodle Pro were a hit! And the die cast Lightning from Grandpa!!

The pool was too cold so we boiled a few pots of water! 

Bathing Beauty!!

This precious little monkey would not go to sleep so we headed to McDonald's!!

The cake was in the car and Blake was standing in the back of the car near it! He heard me mumbling that I wished Josh had gotten a candle that matched!!  He waved his arms around above the cake and said in his cutest voice, "Mom this cake does not care! Really!!"   

Off to her swim party at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Lydia loves the Hot tub or "Hot pool!"  Even at Seven Peaks after being in the wave pool she requested, "Hot tub mom!"

She was so funny . . . she would not smile!!

Lydia was copying Aunt Jen wiping a little frosting off of her cup cake!! To funny!!
