Updates

The boys have been playing Jr. Jazz basketball at the Lehi Legacy Center! Grant's team on Wednesday and Trent's team on Saturdays!! It is so much fun!!

Funny kids

"All right my little cuties," I said to Trent and Grant in the family room. Blake came running down the hall towards me, "Mom your little cutie is right here!"

Lydia loves to have her arms and back tickled! At night when we are rocking her she will get us to unzip her jammies to tickle her back or push up her sleeves to do her arms! It is so cute!!

Lydia gave Blake a big kiss! Blake said, "I love Lydia kisses. But her wet kisses I didn't like. I like dry kisses!"

Blake drank some milk, "Mom I droke the whole thing!"

I had a heavy box of files sitting at the top of the stairs! I asked Lydia to help me take it downstairs! She immediately started pushing and making grunting noises!!!

Sitting on my bed Trent was softly burping Lydia. "Mom is this how we burped her when she was little?" Talking to her I said, "Yes we did burp you when you were little!" She did a big fake burp and Trent and I laughed and laughed!!!

Someone was talking about Thomas the Train and Lydia crawled over to Blake and pointed to his Thomas shirt! Very cute!

Now adjusted to the cast Lydia started walking Saturday, January 28, 2012!!!! YEAH!!!! She is a "WALKER" now!!!!

Blake said, "Mom next Christmas can I get a pair of shoes?" You bet Blake!!!! "Basketball shoes?"

Blake said, "I'm pushing Lydia in the laundry basket and she's doing little poppa-wheelies!! I'm pushing her because she is so cute!"

January 15 she walked couch to couch!! Broke her wrist and stopped!

Blake and I were listening to Josh on a very intense phone call! He was explaining if this guy did not bend it was not worth it to him and he was out of the game - - done!! He got off the phone and Blake said,"Dad, why are you crying?" Josh said, "Blake I am not crying!" Josh left the room! Blake, "Mom I think Dad was crying because he was out of the game!"

The boys are loving basketball!!! It is all they want to do!!! And at night we crank through the Magic Tree house Books!!!

Josh had to move out of his office for a few months because it is tax season for Larry Cox and he needs the space!! That was the original plan!!

Dr. Duffy

Tuesday morning we headed to see Dr. Duffy, still worried I was overreacting!! We did an X-ray! I had to hold her arm down really hard, I felt bad, she cried!!! Broken wrist!! Took us to another room where I needed to chose the color! It was very hard for me and I was laughing!! We (the nurses and I) decided on purple! Dr. Duffy came in and said, "Jen told me you are having a hard time choosing a color! So if you let me pick, I won't call DCFS since it took you 2 days to come in!" I had on my Utah sweatshirt, but we had previously discussed that I am a BYU fan! He said one of his old patients is playing at the Y and he would go easy on them for a few years!! Anyways, he chose RED!! I knew the boys would be thrilled!!

At home:

Accidentally deleted one! How could that happen with 2 kids on my lap? One wanting to type and the other behind me pulling on my hair clip kneeing me in the back because he wants a coloring page! Let's put a little truth in this blog!! Kids are soooooo hard!!!

Broken Wrist

Friday, January 13th I took Lydia to her 18 month visit! She needs to be walking (but we are still with Kid's on the Move!!) Sunday morning, the 15th, she started walking!! That night we were at Jill's house for Lizzy's birthday dinner!! Lydia would only walk around a little bit!! The kids were going to start Yogi Bear in the basement and Lydia wanted to go down! She must have have gone down a different way than normal because she fell and broke her wrist! Her cry was different and lasted a while! Josh and I took her, and the left the boys to watch Yogi Bear, to Evelyn's house! Josh needed more wrap for his finger! I honestly thought she was still crying because we didn't let her stay with the kids! At Eve's she tried to crawl to Josh twice and fell over! We all diagnosed (including Eve's home teacher) that it was her right arm or wrist! We also saw she had a slightly bloody goose egg on her head on the side under her bangs!!

Monday I debated taking her to the DR.! She slept so well I was unsure!! In the afternoon I touched her arm and she said ow with a little cry!! Then the ow was at her wrist!! Finally later in the evening when Eric and Laura were gone and the boys were in bed Lydia did a little stunt move on my back and fell on her left arm!! She cried hard for a bit and I decided in the morning I would take her for sure!!

Lovin'

Lydia adores Blake! He wanted to lay on the couch with blankets, she climbed up and tucked herself behind him!!

Pretty Boy

Buying Chris Laird's property we inherited a peacock!! The boys are thrilled about Pretty Boy! They wanted me to take pictures and I tried!! Once I entered the coop Pretty Boy paced like crazy!! Most of my pictures were blurry!!

Trent's LPM Recital

Trent had to go first because Dad had a city meeting!

Trent brought the table down from the bonus room so they could draw!

The boys say, "Lydia are you cute?" She says, "No." They say, "Yes you are?" She laughs and laughs!!

Standing worried in the tub, "Mom tinkle goed (went) in the bath, it was from me!"

He was struggling in the bathroom and I got out the box of suppositories which had a penguin on the front. I told him we needed to use one. "Are you penguin after?"

I told him idiot was a bad word and he could not say it! "What I meant to say is Grant is a midiot!"

Singing in the shower, "I am a child of God and Jesus has sent me to my mom, she picked up from school one day and Lydia had to take a nap, I like to play."

Driving in the car just the 2 of us I said something was making my toe itch! Blake said, "I rub it for you mom!" I said, "What if there is a bug in my shoe?" He said, "I will smash it for you mom!"

Every time he goes to the bathroom, "I am just tinkling mom so I won't get sick!"

Whatever he does, "That was my choice!"
***
"I am good boy huh mom, because I throw my trash in the garbage can!"

Blake is so funny with Lydia! If I ask for someone to share a fruitsnack, "I will mom because I love her so much!" If he does a trick, "That was awesome, huh mom, that was awesome!" I tell him it was. "Fanks!" (thanks)

Blake will do something and tell me, "I did that to help Lydia!"

I tell Blake he is cute and he gets mad! "Mom I am awesome!"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE talking with him!!

Lydia:
She sings and sings and sings!! I sing to her at night then she sings to me!! In the car she sings her little heart out! We love it!!

Lydia hugs so sweetly! When I am holding her and say I love you she gives me a HUGE HUG!!

When the boys are laughing at a movie or something else, Lydia tries so hard to laugh! She fake laughs and I LOVE it!!

I love this imitating stage! The boys have been making LOTS of paper dragons, Trent started it! They cut out the body, head, wings, feet and tape it all together and fly them around the house! The other morning Lydia pulled up to the fire place and picked up a dragon and flew it above her head!! SO CUTE!!!! She pretended with bowls to eat and drink the other day!

Trent and Grant:
They are both playing JR. Jazz and loving it! We are also loving the Magic Treehouse books!! Grant has incredible comprehension! They love to be read to! They are sleeping on Blake's floor! It is fun to have them all in the same room!! They are becoming fantastic workers!! They bring the garbage cans in right when I ask! They share jobs very cutely!! "You do the dishwasher and I will hurry and do the dog's kennel!" "You put away my clean clothes and I will hurry and do the trash!" Grant loves going to his Primary Class! He is also amazing with Lydia!! Trent is so creative and keeps everyone cutting and taping! Trent is an amazing artist! The child draws all the time!! They both LOVE cold cereal!!!

Table Saw

Josh was working at the Brockbank's and got caught on the table saw!! He finished and an hour and a half later called me!! We were suppose to go to Carraba's for Ryan's birthday and drop the kids at Evelyn's house! Josh asked me to get the kids in the car so we could go a little early and have his mom look at his finger! When he walked in the door he was white and in a lot of pain!! When he pulled the wrapping off at Eve's it was still bleeding! She insisted he go get stitches! He said it was too wide and didn't want to pay! I worried about cleaning it and tetanus! We ended up at the insta-care ($25)!! They soaked it in Betadine and yep . . too wide and the saw scooped out the center!! He used steri-strips!! Josh got a tetanus shot and we were off!! Pain medicine kicked in, changed his clothes in the car and we were on time to Carrabas!! (Josh's favorite restaurant!)

Cookie Cutters

I could not wait to get Lydia's haircut!! I was thrilled she hopped in the blue car (she always has to be held!)

By the end I was holding her!! Love her new doo!!
