TUBES

I could not sleep last night worrying we would be late to the hospital! Brinkley came over at 6:25am. We are arrived at AF Hospital at 6:45am. When Lydia wanted me (to nurse) Josh showed her the fish tank! They took us back at 7:20am. The nurses and Bart (the anesthesiologist) were wonderful!! We put Lydia in her gown . . . (which felt all too familiar!)

Starting to get upset . . .

Very sad and hungry . . .

They explained Lydia would be taken back, masked, asleep within 4 breaths, given a suppository of Tylenol, then surgery performed! Dr. Heidi came in and saw us, then they took Lyd at about 7:40am. Bart had one of the nurses carry her. (I worried it was because of my Primary Children's 2 men carrying away my screaming baby story, he assured me it wasn't. He said babies tend to like the nurses better!)

About 8:15am they brought back our crying Lydia! The bad pressure puss fluid filled ear from before, was, full of mucus. The somewhat fluid filled pressure ear from before, was, full of puss! Heidi said this poor baby girl would have some serious relief now!! After a few stat checks I was able to nurse her! She fell asleep! The curtain next to us did not have such luck! That poor baby boy screamed and screamed! They gave him a sippy of apple juice which he threw up and kept on screaming!! We left around 9am!

Lydia slept on the way home. Once in the house she got fussy! Sweet Jill came and got the boys at 11:30am! I was so grateful because Lydia needed me, but so did the other 3!! (to put it nicely . . . really they were fighting and teasing and whining!!) Once I got Lydia to sleep she had a 4 hour nap!! Thank you to Jill!! She woke up ready to eat and smiling!!

The boys have been testing her hearing all evening! Whispering "Lydia" from one side of her, to the next "Lydia, turn your head, can you hear me?!"

Becker Business

Lydia is getting tubes Tuesday, June 21st! She failed the hearing OAE twice, had 2 ear infections in December and I guess just a lot of fluid and infections since then! The nurse checking her out before her hernia surgery, after looking in her ears said, "See you back here for tubes!"

Lydia 11 months 14.11 pounds, Luke 6 months 15.6 pounds, James 2 months 12. 4 pounds!

Blake and I were up last night (he had napped) and I was filing my feet. It was time to put lotion on our feet, Blake loves lotion!! He said, "My feet are saying lotion please Blake!" Later he was washing his hands and stopped and stared at himself in the mirror, then said, "I am Blake," and did a huge smile!

Lydia's First Swim

Poor baby girl! I took the boys swimming after lessons, thinking it would be fun! Poor Lydia was so sick! She had a HOT fever! I decided to cool her off a little and try swimming! Not a fun 1st swim!! So Monday, diagnosed ear infection and needs tubes. Tuesday up all night, Wednesday fever all day! Talked to Rishelle Blanchard, probably a virus that Delany and Aniston had also!! So not just the ear infections but a virus!! (Which made sense to me because she was ok Monday Tuesday, then Tuesday night Wednesday very different story!) The child literally laid on my shoulder for 2 days straight!! I pretty much held her from Tuesday night (June 14) until her surgery June 21st!!
Look at those fever eyes!! (Being held by Uncle Johnny!!)

My Girl

Friday the boys left for the Father and Sons! They have been looking forward to it!! They even took Roxy!! These 3 cute boys sitting in the truck! I kept saying, "Bye boys, I love you guys, have fun!" Blake kept saying, "Bye mom, I love you, I will have fun!" Trent wanted me to see what he was drawing in his new journal and Grant wanted one last hug, kiss and hold of Lydia!!

I did not get much done while they were gone because I could not put this girl down!! I kept thinking about how fast the boys have grown and it makes me want to cherish every moment!! She is a crack up in her high chair! She puts everything in her hair and is willing to drink some morning smoothie from a cup (with me holding it!) In these pictures it is peaches in her hair!! When the boys got home, Grant said, "Mom I missed you like crazy last night!" I loved it!!

He got branded!!! (But quickly had McKinnon brush it all off his precious shirt!!)

He had a hard time going to bed because he wanted to pass off so many things in his book!!
