Ferron, Utah

Friday, June 25 we left for Josh's Family Reunion in Ferron. (Hoping upon our return the whole floor would be torn out.) We borrowed a toy hauler trailer from his friend Nate. We blew a tire on the trailer on our way down. Josh was missing one tool to change it and tried for quite a while to flag someone down to help us!

The highlight of Ferron was the 4-wheelers! Josh was so patient letting over 30 children have rides and take rides! It was all done very safely I might add! Blake would have sat on the little motorcycle or a 4-wheeler all day if he didn't have to eat!

We went and saw Great-Grandma Cox's house and Great-Grandma Nielsen's house spot!

Chelsea had made everyone rock collecting bags, they were a hit! (Grant Rocks, Trent Rocks, Blake Rocks, very cute) We went looking for round rocks. It was very hot and the gnats were REALLY bad! Josh rode the 4-wheeler with Grant because his Grandpa really wanted him to. The best part was later when Grandma and Grandpa Stanton let the kids pick some polished rocks they had brought!

The boys rode their bikes alot back and forth to the place where they had found "crystals!" The boys also LOVED sleeping in the toy hauler and watching Robots!!

Super Heroes

Trent dressed Blake in his extra super hero jammies! They were a little big but they had a blast!

My Gangster

Trent came up the other morning and said, "Look mom, I made Blake a gangster." He put Blake in his shorts, a white shirt and backwards hat! I was cracking up!!

Update

We started swimming lessons on June 14. The boys are doing great! We are going to do 3 weeks at 9am!

We went to the cabin Father's Day weekend but were home for church!! The boys had fun at SmithMoorehouse Lake. A chipmunk ran over Grant's shoe and it was a highlight!

Josh is trying to run power to the shed, add a drip system to the walk-out and make sure all the sprinklers are working properly!! Meanwhile, finishing the trim in the baby's room so I can paint and wanting to finish our bed before she comes! Our garage needs to be cleaned out desperately . . . but one thing at a time! He is still in school 2 nights a week and it makes it very very hard! There are more things on the list but I have to be calm . . . time is not something we have a lot of right now! He is starting up Clearwater Worldwide with James and trying to tie up all other lose ends!!

The boys have a hard time going to bed in the summer! We read alot to them! It is worrying me because when the baby comes it is going to be crazy! Especially because I am usually the only one home at night!

Last night I had a wonderful shower in Jenette's backyard! Josh came by after school to make sure I was loaded! He beat me home by a minute or so! He was carrying Trent downstairs and heard dripping! The vent by the window in the basement family room was dripping water pretty steadily! The couch, wall, exercise bike were all soaked! He went upstairs and pulled out the fridge. He shut off the water line. I had noticed the floor warping under the rug by the fridge and dish washer the other day. So the leak in the fridge was going under the wood floor, continuing under the island then under the dishwasher and draining in the basement! Josh pulled some floor up to see how bad! BAD! I put the wood pieces in black garbage bags for him. I stood up and tripped and stepped onto the bag and had 2 nails go into my foot! I fell into the hutch and knocked over my pitcher and bowl, which did not break, sat down and bled! It hurt. This morning Josh was dealing with Insurance and Disaster Clean-up and I headed to the Doctor! My foot is swollen and I cannot step on it! It has made for a long hard day! We are suppose to leave for Ferron tomorrow morning, but I cannot walk around a grocery store! I hope Josh is able to leave class early tonight!!

Blake

We were sorting some girl clothes the other night and Blake put this hat and coat on. Trent buttoned it for him! He had on some black church shoes of Hadleys that she had grown out of. His entire heel would not fit in the shoe and he was walking around! The boys and I were cracking up!! The jean coat went to his elbows!! He would not let me put the shoes back on for a picture! It would be very funny if Lydia looked about the same in this hat! At a certain age all of our boys have looked the same - - now people are commenting how different they all look!!

Mr. Paper

Oh, my kids love paper and tape! So I got home from Vegas and I have been trying to update this blog! I go upstairs and Trent has built a great house with blocks around the clubhouse. Inside are all of his birthday gifts and some candy! By the computer I notice a thick stack of brand new papers that have something cut out of them. I also see a homemade envelope and at the top is written, "Pasis (passes) to com in Trents haws." In the envelope part are at least 20 photo copied papers he cut out that say ,"You can com in."

Girl's Weekend

My mom, Jen, Jill and I drove to Vegas Thursday night. We arrived after midnight! We picked Chera up Saturday morning (she flew in from AZ.) We had such a nice time, reading, Phantom, movie, eating and nails!! Josh and the kids had a great time too!! They ate out a TON, rented the Tooth Fairy, went to the Zoo and swimming! Trent told me from the time I left, they delivered some shingles to a job and then had nothing but fun!! Sunday night when I got home Blake split his head open on the black table in the basement . . . scared me, but he was fine! (I am almost 34 weeks.) Poor Jill, due Dec. 25, was so sick!!

Braedon's Baptism

Braedon got baptized at 4:00pm! It was wonderful. When it was over Blake fell on a folding chair and put his tooth through his bottom lip! He bled all over Josh's suit and white shirt. We ran the clothing to the dry cleaners before going to Jen's house for dinner because Josh needed the suit for the wedding the next day!
