Grant's in Kindergarten

Our big little Grant started Kindergarten!! (These pictures are actually from 9/7/11. I cannot find our little camera! Upset does not even begin to describe how I have been feeling! On Labor Day I looked and looked . . no such luck! Grant's first day pictures are on there! But this is the same outfit and same cute kid so it will work!)

Big Boy

Blake is in a BIG BOY BED!!!! When we got home from Bismarck Dad had the room and squared away!! We have taken a few weeks turning it into a TRAIN room!!! Under that bedspread are some pretty awesome Thomas Sheets!!!

Saturday we cleaned out the garages! Lydia saw Blake's trailer and went crazy to get in! She loved being towed around!! Now when she sees the trailer she about jumps out of my arms to get in!

New Beginnings

Grant got to meet his teacher, Miss Robbins, and go on a pirate scavenger hunt! He also had his first day of Let's Play Music and loved it!!

We love when she balances on her head!!!

And she loves every one's reaction!!

Blake got to visit his new class and Miss Tanya!! He insisted on wearing his Thomas jammies! He was surprisingly shy!!

First Day

Yeah for the first day . . . Trent got Mr. C which he hoped for all summer!!! Decided to wear his Roboto shirt!

After a very long summer, Lydia could not stay awake during lunch!!

Becker Business

At the reunion I said, "I need to check on my precious little one" referring to Lydia. Blake stepped in front of me and said, "I am right here!"

I got my haircut this morning, then Josh, then I took the boys this afternoon! When Josh came home I told him how nice his hair looked! Blake said, "Dad where did you go? I went to Erin Fain!" (Thain)

When I put Lydia down for her nap, I read a few books while she drinks her sippy, then lay her down and put her blanket over her legs. I kiss her bunny and snuggle it up to her face! She goes crazy laughing and wiggling! It is the cutest thing!

We read "Who Loves Baby" and she laughs and gets so excited! She tries to say eye, and nose because she knows the Sesame Street book "Eyes, Nose, Fingers and Toes!" She points to the book and herself and me! Again, so cute!! She loves the touch and feel Usborne books!!!

We made it to the tail end of Ashley's reception (Aug. 20). We missed Rachel and Chad's girlfriend so we headed over to the house they were all renting in Lehi!! (Lucky for us!) We got to meet Rachel's boyfriend and Chad's girlfriend!! So glad we dropped by!!

Josh knew my cousin Chad on the mission! They set up to take a quick trip on the boat Wednesday night! Eric and 2 of his cute girls came too! (One niece from Haylee's side also)

We hurried home and made it by the skin of our teeth to Ashely's endowment session! After the temple we all went to Mexiquense! Again . . so wonderful to be with the Gardiners!!! Ashely gets married Saturday! (My folks stayed for the temple tonight but fly home in the morning!) We probably hadn't seen some of these Gardiners in 10 years!! So FUN!!!!

Gardiner Gathering

The Gardiner Reunion started Friday night at a church in SL! We took TJ and Taylee with us because Avery was having her baby!! Trent thought it was most important Grant attend because his middle name is Gardiner!!

Saturday morning we headed back to the church for some Pioneer Games!!

Grant did such a great job at this hoop rolling the Pioneer Group asked him to be in the 24th of July parade next year!!

The kids decided to wear their Roboto shirts to surprise Grandma and Grandpa!!

Robert Gardiner had the first candy making store in Salt Lake City! These are from his original molds!! When they came over from Scotland (? Lydia made a lot of noise during Kent's videos so I think it was Scotland) they had a home in the side of a mountain and Robert made Taffy on a rock. Eventually he did the molds etc. In Scotland he worked in the Queens bakery!

Lydia went down for a nap in room 104! I brought all of her stuff, play yard, puff quilt, blanket, bunny, books, noise maker and monitors!

The kids had had it at the church so we took them to the lake . . . Simmons, Talls and us!

It was incredible seeing all of my Kent Gardiner cousins! Truly I could not believe how happy it made me to see all of them!!!
