Dad's BIRTHDAY!!!

WE LOVE DAD!!!  We had french toast, went to church, tacos with the Nelsons, set up the tree, presents and ice cream!!! 

Johnson City

We left for Johnson City around 4:30 to meet the Thain's! We had everything packed (including Theo) to get Grandma Evelyn from the airport and head to San Antonio! Johnson City was darling!!!  Jared put our name in at a restaurant right in the Town Hall parking lot! We walked around and saw the vendors set up under tents! The firework show started at 6:30! It was about a half hour, then they lit Town Hall! The timing was perfect for dinner! We were out of time to walk to Pedernales (our electric company headquarters), so we drove by! Jared had told us it was like noon day and awesome! The first park filled with lights we passed was pretty but not impressive, we wondered if it was Pedernales! Then we saw Pedernales through the street!! It was awesome!!!  

Off to the airport to pick up Grandma Evelyn!!

Thanksgiving Week

We went to Milburn with the Applebaums and skating with the Afflitos!  I loved having the boys out of school for the whole week!!

On Thanksgiving  Josh went to RBMS to play football with the ward and missionaries! Grant went a little late! Then we went to see Penguins of Madagascar with the Storms and Thain's! This is the only picture I have!!  Sad! At 4pm the Nelsons and Smiths came over for dinner! Everyone brought a bunch of food, we had borrowed tables from the Afflito's and the Melanson's! The missionaries came and joined us too!  It was fun!! I had ornaments to paint, but we ran out of time!!  The kids jumped on the trampoline and played outside!

Funny tidbit, we had no dish washing detergent Thanksgiving night! I almost died! I have always kept such a stock! But with moving and less storage space here I didn't realize we were out! HAHA!!  Brendan ran home and grabbed a few pods for us!! 

Grant's Funny Turkey Story

There once lived a turkey named Tim and he did not like wearing clothes so I decided to dress him. I put him in sweats, he did not like them, he ripped them off and refused to put them back on. So I decided to put him jeans he just took them off.  So I put him in shorts he loved them then I put him in a BYU shirt he ripped it off and said I hate BYU so I put him in a Broncos then I put him in a University of Utah he loved it so then we needed to get him shoes so I measured his foot he was a size 3 1/2 so I asked him if he wanted Under Armor or Nike he wanted Nike so we went to the Nike aisle and went over to size 3 1/2 and chose shoes with a red Nike sign and a black outside.  The End 

Bathing Theo

Theo needed a bath! I had never done this before, but Josh wasn't home so I had to! The cold water in our tub doesn't work so we had to fill pitchers in the kitchen! The hot is so hot I didn't want to burn him! This poor little guy was cold (we had to wait while refilling the pitchers) and did not enjoy his bath! He was so tiny once wet I was cracking up! The kids did not like him so skinny and wet, I loved it!

RAIN

We had amazing rain today!! Grant and Blake went to Grant's soccer party at Coach Smith's house! Dad was helping Justin Nelson hang his new lights at his new house! Lydia saw me collecting balls in the backyard in the rain and decided to go out!  The grass was a pool! A little later Lydia and Ava played in the rain! I mean sliding on the trampoline, playing on the swing set! It was hysterical to watch!! Trent and I were cracking up!  I wish I had a picture! They had a blast!!!

Friday

Lydia had Princess Camp at the YMCA and learned about Princess and the Frog!

Blake had a Thanksgiving Feast at school and made these hats! They had small water bottles (which Blake donated), fruit kabobs on a toothpick, cheese stick, and beef jerky! Blake told me he did not eat "Roxy's treat" today at school!!  HaHa!!

Ms. Hutchens

Here is Blake's teacher. . .  Ms. Katie Hutchens! Blake did not want a picture in the beginning of school! It was important to me to have one, so I grabbed one when I dropped off the Thanksgiving Feast water bottles after school!

Turkey Cookies

We had the Thains to dinner and made Turkey Cookies! Wish I had taken pictures that night! I got them the next morning!

Lydia

Lydia went to Princess Camp at the YMCA! They learned about Rapunzel and got to decorate a brush! I love the high tops!

Then she came home to love on Theo! She thinks it is hysterical to put him in here and call me in!
