Grant loves to sit and watch Trent do his homework. He wants to see him write and loves to have him read!

Blake loves when the boys hide in their room and we find them!

Josh was on the motorcycle and we were driving behind him. Grant said, “That’s not fair, Dad gets to feel the wind.”

Trent told me “I like when we have Arthur time. We go to the Kiva and listen to a story with other classes. It is great to get out of the classroom so we can stretch our legs. Sitting with them bent for so long they need to go straight. Sometimes mine pop.” It is Author time. They have an Author a week they study!

We took Derik a birthday card last night. He is 14! He told the kids he got some neat stuff! When we got in the car Trent said, “Mom he said he got some neat stuff. I bet he got a snow globe and some papers. I am sure he got a remote controlled motorcycle!”

Josh is studying hard working on his MBA! I worry about him because school is stressful! He handles his stress well!! He doesn’t complain about it at all!! At the zoo on Saturday, some guys who graduated in the spring told him this is the hardest semester! It will be nice in December to have this one behind us!!

We have had a few chilly days this week! Kind of fun, FALL, the boys have worn hoodies!! I love it!!

Trent made this mouse in school!! Knowing how much he loves the Olive Garden . . . here is what he wrote: if you give a mouse a BreDstik (breadstick) then he will want sum (some) nooDLs to go with it.

Trent played Aly and Ella at 9am! It was very fun to cheer everyone on!

Then we headed to the zoo! Josh's MBA program was having a zoo day! They paid for admission and provided sandwiches for lunch! It was very fun! There was a baby giraffe, tiger and elephant! The boys loved it!! Trent got the camera . . .

Day out with Dad

Grant got to have a Day out with Dad! He was so excited!! He chose McDonald's for lunch and the Dew Tour! He got to skip school, but mom still did the car pool! The Dew Tour is in SL and put on by Mountain Dew! It is motorcycles and skateboards, all the stuff Grant loves! When he saw dad's hat, he ran to get his!

At the Dew Tour Grant won a red bag and Josh got a black one! Grant wanted to give the red one to Trent! He wanted to keep the black because it is dad's favorite color! Josh bought Grant some cotton candy. He ate a little and came home and gave it to Trent!

When they got home Josh showed him the Tour was on TV! Trent said, "Grant loves this stuff, every time he walks by the TV he has to sit down!" Trent kept calling it the D Tour!

Bikes

Josh and I went on a bike date with the Armstrongs and Herbies!! It was so much fun!! We went to Emmit's & Ethel's then out to Saratoga Springs to hot tub! The hot tub was 105 and Josh got a bloody nose! I was a bit nervous for the bike . . . along with Tanya and Jana! We ended up LOVING it!! It was fun and freeing!! I felt like a teenager!!!

Fairytale Farm

We attended Grant’s Pre-School open house! Miss Joy and Miss Stephanie are the teachers at Fairytale Farms! They gave him a notebook and pencil! He seems pretty excited! The school looks nice! I was not feeling well, but I could not miss it!! I love this stuff!! I let him choose his clothes!

First day of pre-school! Grant was so excited he was showered, dressed, fed with backpack on by 8:45am! School started at 12:30! He picked his outfit but said I could pick everyday after that! He really wanted me to take him, not the carpool, so luckily Blake woke up at 12:10pm! After I dropped him off I realized I wanted a copy of his "Favorites" paper filled out the week before! I ran in to grab it from the teacher and saw Grant and his buddies with no shoes on! I told him I was getting a copy of the paper. He said, "Good mom, that is what I wanted you to do. I want a copy of the favorites paper." I love when he talks that way to me - - very agreeable!! He always does that when he is in a really good mood! (Mom I am glad you got me a yellow sippy, I really wanted yellow! OR Mom I am glad you picked that shirt, that is the shirt I wanted!) The teacher told me the kids do not need to take their shoes off, but that we had them trained well!!

And he wanted a picture on the carpet too!!

September 4-7, 2009
We were lucky enough to spend Labor Day Weekend in DelMar, CA with the Christoffersen family!! It was a BLAST!!! Reconnecting with Dominique has been such a blessing for us!! We adore all 4 Christoffersens!!

Grant wanted me to set up a chair right by these people so he could watch them play paddle ball!! Dominique and I were cracking up because he was literally 2 feet back right in between them!! It was so funny!! He watched for a long time!!

I came with Dominique to the beach house after 6th grade graduation!! It was so fun to see it again and what I remembered!!

This gal just offered us a ride! It was nice! We did not want to go home!!
