Christmas Break Schedule

I love to look back and see what we did, so here is a quick update!

12-19 Recital, (Randalls, houses, paint, rock), clean (hard day), orthopedic 3pm, Grant movie, 7-11, Menchie's, Verne 12:30a,m

12-20 French Toast made by Verne, oil change, but paint, Trent B-ball church with Kelli Allison took Brayden C., Blake Lyd Coolio Camp, Verne Grant me mall pretzels, car filled with paint, got gas and took Hortons home, YM caroling

12-21 crazy morning, trying to get to store, took paint to house to drop off, Crystal Falls Assisted Living 2pm,  Trent Logan's jump on new tramp, me hard afternoon on phone, meanwhile Apryl took Blake Lyd and Grant, Trent Grant stay at Hortons, Blake Lyd Verne me meet Josh at In N' Out, Tim brought boys home

12-22 Klingman for a fix, Ran to Home Depot to rent lift for painters, Trent Logan's house, Mighty Fine with Missionaries, Josh me Blue Corn with Masons

12-23 Breakfast fast food all over kill time Burger King, McDonalds, Chik-Fil-A, tramp being set up, Kickball Emily set up, Miners took Trent and Logan to Rogue One, kids Verne Brynlee to Storks while shopped at HEB, Josh grab Theo from PetSmart, Family Light Night

12-26 Clean, dishes, Sing, Amy's Chinese

12-27 Trent B-ball RBMS 10-12, T ortho 11:40, dentist 1, ortho 3, meanwhile Jude and Kai at our house

12-28 Trent B-ball at RBMS 10-12, Lyd to Vivian's 1pm, boys to Academy, Trent to Logan's, Pizza, Trent ride bike home dark, Taylor's for games (Miner's and Apryl too)

12-29 clean a little, kickball just us and Masons, Grant to Kai's house, Blake & Lyd to Vega's, Trent to Logan's

12-30 donuts, clean at property, b-ball at church 2pm (Trent friends), leave Blake & Lydia at church with Amie Taylor, drop Grant at Kai's house, Verne me HEB, drop Verne at church with Blake Lyd Mai and Tiko and b-ball boys, I drop groceries at home back to church, all kids Canfields, Verne Josh me Teji's movie

12-31 clean more at property, kickball at 1:30 Winkley (Masons, Cooks, Fish, Claire, Logan, us with Josh Verne), Logan our house, we go to house and Clements, Trent go to Logan's, Barbers

New Year's Eve

The Clements did a pig roast. A lot of the ward was there. We stayed a bit then went to the Barber's house. (Took Crazy bread to the Barbers, Verne stayed home.)  Trent was at Logan's house.

Christmas

Christmas morning the kids got up at 7am. This NEVER happens! I was thrilled b/c they were so exhausted already! We had church at 9am, so we decided to open stockings and get showered. It was the best we could do with the time we had! We still got the cinnamon rolls baked! We were dying b/c we had this trampoline in the backyard since Friday morning! (When they came to set it up Verne and I drove the kids to get breakfast and play kickball. It worked out great!) I gradually closed the blinds Thursday morning (from the time we bought it) till evening. We were hoping no one would open the blinds. Normally they don't, I do! I tried really hard from Friday morning on to have all the lights on downstairs so there would not be a need to open the blinds. Ha! Saturday, when the boys were at the church, Lydia opened the blind to wave to Theo and saw! She ran upstairs to tell me! I was panicked! She promised she would not tell, I said don't even say don't look outside!!  I realized it was her Christmas morning right then, so we screamed and got excited about the tramp! I let her jump for 5 minutes. When Josh got home from the church, I let her tell him on the porch how excited she was! Again, just for her to enjoy this secret! When we went to the house before the Winsors I made her come b/c I didn't want her alone with the boys, just in case!!  Haha!!

Church was wonderful!!  Absolutely wonderful!  Blake and I had a bet who would get to the car first after the meeting! (So he was guaranteed not too much adult talking after church!) I ran to the car after Amen! We waited a few minutes for Josh, who was sitting a few rows in front of us. We got home, changed, then did gifts. I was videoing and did NOT take pictures! (which makes me sad!) We gave all the kids an envelope, which contained a paper that said, Go to the backyard! We all ran out there, I got it on video. Turns out Trent saw it on Saturday morning (Christmas Eve.) He started to open the blinds! He didn't say anything for our benefit! So cute!!  I couldn't believe it!!  They jumped all day! (and painted)  It was a warm day so Grant's cast got a little sweaty he said.  

Lydia got this darling house and painted (with sweet Grant's help) all day! We all helped a little! It was wonderful!

Grant got 2 shirts and an Academy gift card from Santa!

We had a turkey dinner and turned on Fred Clause. That night we delivered a few mints to Trent's church teachers and ran a gift across the street to Bob! We ate pumpkin pie and had some eggs! I never want Christmas to end!!!

We got to take Jake and Brynlee with us (Jake's birthday!)

Josh, Trent and Verne went to clean the pool.  Verne and I cooked a little bit for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Josh took the boys to the church to play basketball. Skyler, Jake, Teisha, Brynlee, McKelle and Javan all went. Josh ran to Academy. Lydia and I delivered a few gifts. Once the cookies were made, we ran to the house to walk Verne through it. Came home and cooked the cookies, grabbed the ham and headed to the Winsor's house!

Stevenson's and their extended family were there, Nance's, Wright's, Lunceford's, and us. 

Came home and opened PJ's! Read Night Before Christmas and off to bed!

Family Light Night

Our traditional dinner at Texas Roadhouse, light looking, movie and sleeping under tree! I love this night!!

Grandma sent us a warm Utah blanket, perfect timing b/c everyone wanted to sleep with the gray blanket Aunt Jill sent us!  I put the blanket with the advent!

Christopher gave the kids Elf Pez!

We watched Christmas Vacation (fast forwarding at times). The kids were not as impressed as I am! I love that movie! I love the music and look forward to watching it all year!  I hope it grows on them!

Service and Fun Before Christmas

Miss Aleece, Logan and Cooper met us at the Crystal Falls Assisted Living Center.

The boys played their Christmas pieces for the residents, we sang Rudolph, then we chatted. It was fun and I was so glad we did it!

Coolio Camp

Addison Leavitt did Coolio Camp Mon. Tues. Wed. of this week. Blake and Lydia went Tuesday. I wish I had sent them all 3 days! They loved it!!

Recital and Orthopedic

It was freezing today!!  The boys had a student only recital this morning. Grant of course just watched b/c of his arm. During the recital Lydia and I compared our painted board to a few houses by Miss Aleece and Randalls. Lydia ran the board up by a few people's stucco for me to see! It was awesome and helpful and cold!!  Grabbed a few things from Randalls before the boys were done!

Grant's minion came again!

Turns out the break was worse than we thought, on and around the growth plate. So Grant will be casted almost to the shoulder for 2 weeks.

For the advent it was Menchi Monday. I told Trent to fill it high b/c it was the same price! It was fun! Blake got a slurpee and Lydia spicy cheetos.
