Backpack

There is ALWAYS something special in Lydia's backpack! Rocks, wood chips, treasures from her teacher's garbage can!!  This heart rock was too cute!!

Haircut

We cut about 9 or 10 inches off of Lydia's hair! Combing last night we realized, this is too hard!!

We LOVE the new do!!  

The day after Dad pulled her last tooth, she went to school and pulled out her other! The nurse gave her gauze to finish the job!

Last night Lydia came into our room and had been wiggling her tooth! She let Josh pull it out! She was being very tough. Blake has struggled with loose teeth and hates blood! Funny kids!

Mason Lunch

Grandma and I took the kid's lunch! Grandpa was home sick. We just gave Grant his lunch and left (the way he likes it:-) That afternoon we checked the kids out and took them to Trolls. I stayed in the car on the phone! More drama (when will it end????) It was so nice to have Grandma and Grandpa here during this very difficult time! Once Trent got home we went to Torchy's for dinner and to Baskin Robbins! Enjoyable!

Grandma and Grandpa arrived! We went to Mighty Fine, then Trent's game. First game with Coach West in the middle of all the drama! More drama followed after the game with a petition (that had lots of rude comments!) Very very hard situation with Coach Elarms and parents!

Double Missionary Torchy's

The Smiths decided to join us at Torchy's with their missionaries instead of eating at home! They have Elder Dunford, so we were soooo excited!!  We each had a new Elder, only 4 days in the mission! Exciting!!

Blake's tooth was barely hanging in there and the permanent was pushing on it! Waiting for Trent to get out of basketball, Josh took an up close look and grabbed it! Hooray!! It needed to go!  Now both front teeth are gone!!

Day After

Look who's feeling better! She put piggy tails in Theo's hair while I held him down.

Then she dressed him in her jammies.

She face-timed with Luke, they both made forts and watched a movie together! It was wonderful!!

She used sticks and stuck them in the couch! Blake was super impressed when he got home from school!

I washed Lydia's hair in the sink then I took her to school about 2:35 for her raffle ice cream party. She chose Grant for her 1 friend. Lydia took the home phone in a little black purse, it made her comfortable. We grabbed Grant from his class, snagged Blake from the hallway, dropped Grant and Lyd in Miss Batton's room then Blake and I went home.  We collected piano bags, jumped on the tramp and went back to get them!!

Tiff Smith took Trent to school.

She started to get nervous and silly. We couldn't wait for it to be over for her sake! It was sad and sweet!  Loved the staff and the docs! She went in after 10am. We helped her choose strawberry for her space girl helmet (to put her to sleep.) It was about an hour. 

Tired! Did not want a popsicle or gaterade.

Back to sleep.

We got an Egg McMuffin and BaskinRobbins Rainbow sherbet. 

She started crying as soon as we got home. About 1:10pm. I wondered if he Caudal Block was not working. She only felt good when I was holding her hanging in front of me standing up and walking around. (With my hurt neck it was interesting, I took a few breaks.) She ended up throwing up and sleeping, throwing up and sleeping. The anesthetic made her sick, I don't think it was pain from the surgery, it was nausea. She finished throwing up about 10:30pm and slept well. Ashley Canfield took Grant and Blake to the park, which helped me so much!!  Tiff brought Trent home from B-ball, huge help again. Josh brought home Olive Garden, the boys were thrilled but Lydia couldn't really eat. So sweet of Dad!

Dr. Borick showed us the new bone growing to fill in where it is buckled. 

Verne and I checked Grant out of school for his appointment.

Got a new cast, below the elbow, yay!! 

We made a quick return to Academy, got dog food, a lemonade at Chik-Fil-A and took him back to school.
