Lydia

Lydia could not sleep! It was after 10pm so I pulled her into my bed so she wouldn't wake the boys up! She was wired! She was quoting Frozen, the scene in the mountain shop with big man with an accent! Then she put her arms around me and kissed my head and said, "You sleep mom and I will stay awake and keep you safe!"  The next morning I was telling Josh how funny it was! Lydia had just woken up, smiled and said, "Put it on the blog Mom!"

Lydia sings Frozen songs and quotes the movie all day long as she sings and dances around! Josh and I love it!!  Very entertaining!!

I admit I love having Lydia play around me! I am just very careful not to spill on her! When I am making dinner the kitchen is usually quite full with something she is doing!  Tonight she used towels and the rug skid pads (sitting on a chair because of our orange juice spill) to play house with!  Minnie Mouse is asleep on her scooter!

Few tidbits!

Blake can be so sweet with Lydia! He wanted to cuddle with Lydia in her blanket! I love when he treats her this way! Sometimes in the mornings he will just cuddle her and take care of her and ask her to pick a movie! He even uses a really sweet little voice!!  He would only do silly faces this morning!

**Lydia sings and dances a lot!  Her newest is "Let it go, let it go, the wind never bothered me anyway!" It should be "the cold never bothered me anyway!" I love that she says wind! We use to have quite a bit of wind talk at our house!

**Lydia did an Article of Faith in Primary and the scripture another week! She did great! It was so cute to watch!

**Grant has been working very hard on his purple music flashcards! He and Trent were timing each other this morning! It was so cute!

**Blake is still loving his pregnant teacher! He is enjoying school a lot more now!  He loves Pete the Cat, Splat the Cat and Skippy Jon Jones!

We went to a Jazz Game last night with the Reese's! We did the cheap seats that come with a hot dog!

Bike Track

For the boys, the greatest part of moving to this house has been the 'Dirt Bike Track' Austin Burr made! They have LOVED it! Living with all of this dirt, our cement is filthy, our car mats are dirty, the house is hard to keep clean, dirty socks and shoes and REALLY dirty bikes! (Because sometimes it is muddy:-))  I put the bikes in the car one day to drop them off at school for the boys to ride home and there was a dirt pile!  Straight to the car wash for the strong vacuums!!  Truly it is so fun for the boys!! Here are a few pictures to show part of the track!

My Girl

Lydia was getting croupy! She got into her Cinderella dress and pulled out her Minnie chair! She and Blake had been making water balloons all morning with his pumpinator (from Christmas) while I organized the dungeon! Once we took Blake to school, I was cleaning up the kitchen! Lydia sat in her chair with her "balloon family" in her lap and talked to them for a long time! It was adorable! I loved listening! She was so content just sitting with them!

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day! Grant got up at 3am he was so excited to see the gold coin trail!  We got some glow sticks, water balloons, sour punch and mints! My phone camera is terrible!  

I was hurrying to get showered and get Lyd showered, so Grant pulled out the green German Pancakes for me! I kept yelling, "Keep eating I want a picture!" So Grant took some shots for me!

 The leprechauns tinkled in our toilets! But we have one toilet that runs at night, so it was gone in the morning, much to Blake's dismay!  But there were others thank goodness!  We had hot dogs for dinner with green buns, jello (Blake's request) and chips!  Grant and I made cookies with green chips (we separated the Christmas chocolate chip pack into red and green/brown -- with no kitchen at Christmas I was unable to make cookies!) He loved them, but I realized we were using cannery flour that was funny!  Dumped that and we will get new flour from Costco! We need to make cookies again soon with new flour!  

Becker Gals

Britt set up for the Becker gals to go to Park City over night! We stayed at the Best Western where I stayed as an intern with Alpine Elementary! I met Eve, Britt and Chels at the Traverse Mountain Outlets Friday around 5:30! We did a little shopping and headed to Park City! We ate dinner at the Baja Cantina!  Beckee met us back at the hotel! It was cold and snowing lightly! We rented Austinland but didn't start it until 12:30am (I think it was!)

The next morning we ate breakfast at Kneaders and shopped at the Outlets!  I got home about 4:45pm Saturday! Josh had picked up my green buns from the Lehi Bakery, ran errands with the kids, cleaned the church, helped coach 2 indoor soccer games for Grant and had everyone in the car! We took the kids to Miss Tanya's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 Party! Ben and Beckee's kids came too!  (First I held Blake for a minute b/c he was in need!!) We went with Ben and Beckee to TX Roadhouse and Need for Speed!! VERY FUN!!

Becker Business

**Lydia saw how much I lost in the shower one day!  The next day she heard me saying that I needed to shower and get ready before we could go! She said, "You shouldn't shower anymore mommy because all of your hair is coming out!"
**Lydia was playing in my bathroom while I was getting ready! She was talking and I was answering! She told me not to talk, she was talking to the "fake mommy!" Then she was playing again and said, "Well are ready to go, get the phone fake mommy. Mom don't say, 'I'm ready sweetheart' I am not talking to you!" The way she plays and talks to herself is hilarious!! I love it!!!
**Today when I took Blake, Lily and Cooper to school Lily closed her thumb in the door! It was horrible!  After they got out (Lily is ALWAYS the one to close the door) I looked in the mirror and had something in my eye, heard a scream, saw Lily in my mirror, checked to make I was in park, hit unlock, jumped in back and I am not sure if I opened the door or Cooper or Blake! She was hurt! Screaming in pain! I looked at it and almost died! I was squished! I told the boys to head in and got Lily back in the car! I called Laura and said we are coming back and we need ice! I tried to rub her leg and hair at the stop sign! Lydia and I were both telling her how brave she was being! She was screaming, and after seeing the thumb I couldn't imagine how bad it hurt! I was fighting the tears but they came! Pulled up to Laura's and now it was bleeding! Laura put a wash rag and ice on it! I couldn't stop crying at home so I called Josh!  I felt terrible this little gal was hurt!  Later Lily's mom sent me the sweetest text thanking me for caring! I called her and they had gone to the ER! We all thought it was broken, but after seeing an orthopedic doc, turns out is wasn't! A few days later we took Lily some treats!
**Blake told me he loves his name! He loves that the first and last both start with B! He got the biggest smile and said, "It just makes me so happy!"

Chicks

We have 20 baby chicks!!  Really Nick and Jocelyn are taking care of the chicks, 35 of them!  (They bought 15!) The chicks are in their kitchen under a heat lamp!  In about 2 months they will move to our barn! We will put their chicken coop in our big enclosed coop!  The kids were so excited to see the chicks and really wanted to bring them home!  Josh is an animal lover and felt nervous having the kids hold the chicks!  Jocelyn and Nick have done this before (and are good at it!)

Little Muppet's

Jill was in New York, Grandma Gayle was babysitting the Simmons and we had a Monday holiday!  We took the kids to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman then to the Pizza Pie Cafe! My mom and I loved these 2 little extra Muppet's on the right! (Lizzy and Lyd)

Bowling

We went bowling with the Jensen's!  The kids loved it!

Blake had a friend over named Zander. He could not figure out why Lydia was in a swimsuit! I heard him ask her 5 or 6 times why she had one on! I tried to explain that she just loves to wear her swimsuit! It made no sense to him! It was very funny!!

Becker Business

***There were some lay-offs at Josh's work Thursday, Feb. 20th, right before the Cheesecake Factory/hotel prize from Richmond!  Josh was very upset!!  Well, looks like Matt is coming back today!  (Josh's favorite guy!) Hooray!!
***I am loving the Lehi Library! So is Blake!!  I am finding books for Trent! I put things on hold and they file them on a shelf and I just pick them up!! It is awesome!!!
***March 1, Josh started tiling the back splash!! YEAH!!!
***March 2nd, Grandpa Stanton's 84th birthday he looked so much better!!  We stayed short because he was tired!!  Lots of birthday visitor's!!  
***Lydia dances for Josh and me!!  On the bed, on the floor, on the chair! She is a dancer! I love it!!  She narrates her dances too, "And I fall into the pillows!"  We love it!!
***Josh and Trent went to Clear Creek Feb. 25-26!!  They had a great time!
***While they were at Clear Creek Lydia and I were driving to drop some things off at Josh's work! She said, "We are alone mom!" I said, "It is kind of fun, huh Lydia, just you and me!" She said, "No, I miss Trent and I miss Grant and I miss Blake! Let's pick them up!"
***Lydia wanted me to say a password to get past her legs on Grant's bed! I guessed and guessed and finally said, "Trent is awesome!" That was right!  I cracked up!!!  That has always been Trent's password! I guess Lydia listens!  She made Grant and his friend say a password to get past her feet in the car, it was "Trent is awesome!"  Too funny!!
***I kept asking the boys if they wanted cinnamon toast and I would hear a little "crunch!" Every time Lydia was around and I would ask about cinnamon toast, there would be a little "crunch!" She LOVES Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, so to her that is the only cinnamon toast!
***Trent was working on a book report and needed a rock. I said, "So you need a rock . . . " Then a little voice, "paper, scissors, shoot!" It was Lydia completing my sentence!!
***Jana Herbert let Lydia take home a nightgown after watching her while we were at the Blue and Gold dinner! At home Lydia put it on, twirled around and said, "Mom what do you think?" (She said it in a very serious voice!) I told her I loved it! Grant asked how long she got to keep it! She responded, "Forever!" But Jana had just been  imitating the way Lyd talks when I picked her up, mostly her R's, so when she said forever, pretty much putting an A on the end instead of an R, I LOVED IT and laughed!!
***During family prayer Lydia was sitting on my lap in a swimsuit! I kissed her shoulder and she whispered in my ear, "I love you too!"
***I was laying in the middle of Lydia of Blake! Lydia said she loved me, so I said, "I love you Lydia, and I love Blake and Trent and Grant!" Then Lydia yelled, "Trent mom loves you, Grant mom loves you, Blake mom loves you, me mom loves me!"
