Schlitterbahn

Grant, Blake and Lydia had free passes to Schlitterbahn from reading at school. They expired June 30th so we went the 29th. We took Logan, Jake and Brynlee with us. All the boys and Brynlee took off to slide, Lydia did not feel well after 3 times on the Falls so we sat on a lounger and she slept for a bit. I was anxious to find the boys. (Josh had a hard week at work, so I was anxious to talk to him as well!) Hit some traffic on the way home and HATED the 183 North overpass, I have to conquer this fear!!  It is horrible!

Josh and Ben hit a movie with Seth and Greg later Saturday night. Josh stayed with Ben and he drove Josh to the airport Sunday morning.

We left about 6:50am Saturday morning (tried to leave by 6:30) grabbed donettes at a gas station after a while, bathroom stops, McDonalds, some stops did not have bathrooms wasted a little time. Josh flew in to Fort Worth at 1:45 but was early 1:30. Had to wait for us over an hour. Then I had my first incident on the overpass since the ferris wheel. Sweating, hard to breathe deep, nervous. Saw the overpass and wanted to panic, got us up and over then asked Josh to drive! Wanted to cry b/c it was so scary and shocking to me, I use to love driving over those!!!

We left about 7am trying to get Josh to the Memphis airport by 1:30 or 2pm.  Flight at 3.

Dropped Josh at 1:15 and headed to Brittny's. Boys and I left for haircut, Hobby Lobby, compact at the mall errands. Josh called as we were spending my 14 year old TCBY Cash (they took it!!!) Flight canceled. We prayed. Then 10:30pm, he'd miss connection, we prayed. Headed back to Britt's, Josh called to say come get me. I was in the car and he called and said, maybe leave at 7:50pm. We prayed more and had pizza. Huge storm Mark showed us (worried it would ground planes.) 8:30pm still on runway. I knew it would work out, felt very peaceful, even if the Lord needed to adjust the connection flight. 1am looked at my texts, Josh had said at 10:30pm cutting it close to connection. I texted, he was in SL, Stevens picking him up! Very grateful!!  His connection was 15 min. delay!  Hooray!!  In the morning Mark said huge storm left, changed course before river, but 2 killed, severe. VERY blessed! Josh needed to go. A way was provided. (despite some MAJOR frustration in the airport for 7 hours.)

Earlier in the day we went on a water ride, Rampage, we all got wet but Dad the most. Lydia really wanted to go again before we left, we all agreed. Dad got wet again. We ended up going 3 times. Lyd begged for one more, Josh went to wait with Trent and the rest of us jumped back on. I was soaked through and through! It really was fun though! We were all cracking up! I got stuck under the waterfall, very cold! Some of us took off a few layers and we watched fireworks from the car. We grabbed pizza on the way home! 

We ate cereal for breakfast and pizza every night! Kind of funny! We had some late lunches, Mexican and Old Mill, so the pizza was more of a snack! We tried all the pizza Stuart recommended!

We stayed at the cabin while Dad got window fixed. Then off to The Island. HUGE Ferris Wheel.

Totally freaked me out, I actually started crying. Later Lydia said, "I want Mom to freak out again, that was awesome!"

Left Britt's about 11:30am. Beautiful drive! Pulled into Stuart's cabin around 7:30pm. Went for pizza and Dad backed into a sign that was hanging  way over its base. It was loud and popped! Scared Blake and Lyd bad. After dinner was drove to a car wash and vacuumed and threw out big pieces. Josh found a place that would replace it the next day.
