Horses

On our way home tonight the kids and I stopped to get Joslyn's mail! As I pulled away I saw horses trotting by! I stopped and looked, no rider, no rider, no rider, no one in the rear!! Just the 3 trotting down 1450 East! I flipped around and followed them! I shined my lights on them just outside the neighborhood on 104 North so no one would hit them! We followed them into the gully and back out! Two men saw them and I was hoping they would call someone . . . I was driving and trying to google the police dept. number!! The horses headed back down 1450 East! By Ro's house I stopped and talked to Lance Lemon, who was charting a boy scout course with a head flashlight and his son! The police showed up and Josh pulled into the neighborhood too!! He thought he might know who they belonged to!! He also told the police there were 2 mules and a horse!! The polices' response, "May as well be an elk for all we know about horses!!" Josh got them home!!

Car Show

We met Grandpa John at the Southtowne Expo Center for the CAR SHOW!! My dad had his new Speed 33 in the show!! I meant to get a picture of the kids, Grandpa and the Speed33 darn it!! We had a great time!! Grandpa bought a huge map of the US made out of license plates that I showed him! It is awesome!!!! Grant desperately wanted to buy a smaller version, printed, not real plates! We did not want him to spend his money!! The "map making welder man" gave it to Grant and me! He said in his thick accent pointing to my dad and the kids, that I had a nice family!! We thanked him and thanked him and told Grant that every now and again neat things happen when you control yourself!! (He was trying so hard and doing a great job!)

During the car show Trent turned to me and asked, "How do you think the Norwex would look if we wiped this whole floor?"

Dr. Suess

Blake had Dr. Seuss day at school on March 1. He would not pose for a picture so his hat and puppet are separate pictures!!

Grant got to celebrate at school and wear pajamas and have a read-a-thon!!

Lydia's Words

When Lydia graduated from Kid's on the Move we had a little list of her first words!!

Lydia did not want her hair done! I asked her to please sit down and let me finish! She smiled, sat in front of me and held still!! I almost died, she is calm and wants to please!!! Something I am not use to!!

We were at McDonald's and saw Lydia trying to put on some one's sparkly pink Dora shoe! I was cracking up! Her shoes were on, but she likes sparkles!!

Last night Trent was going through some of his special things deciding what needed to be thrown away!! Lydia got a hold of his Boy Scout belt loops and was trying to put them on her waist line! Trent hooked one to her belt loop and she was thrilled!! So funny!

Grandma Gayle let Blake bring home Clifford the Big Red Dog!! Our morning: I was referring to him as Clifford and Blake said, "Mom it is Cwiffer the dog!" Then he took Clifford for a ride on his blow up dinosaur! Clifford loved it but was hungry! He also broke his leg! Then Blake took Clifford into the shower (no running water) to clean him up!! Blake announced to me "Cwiffer is a Ute fan like me, that is why he is RED!"

Trent and Grant got to sleep over at Grandma Evelyn's house with John and the Johnson 3!! They went to a play and had a blast!! Blake and Lydia and I were going to pick them up! I had a ponytail, I never have ponytails!!! Blake said, "Mom what is behind you?" I asked, "Is there something on my back?" Blake, "No your hair!" Me "Oh a rubber band! I know it looks funny!" Blake "No it's cute mom!"

Miss Tanya texted me from Blake's preschool, "Blake just said as he is beading noodles on a string, 'way to go Miss Tanya! You are so cool! This is fun!"

Lydia was stuffy and doing big wet sneezes!! Blake, Lydia and I were sitting on my bed, Josh got up and Blake said, "I think Dad woked up because Lydia's boogies are so loud!"

Months ago I was changing Lydia's diaper! Trent wanted to know what she had instead of a boy part! I said it was a girl part! He kept asking what it was called! I know we are suppose to be honest with kids and open, so I said, "Buddy I am going to teach you a science word that is private! You don't say it in front of people! Lydia tinkles from her urethra." Just the other day I was changing her again and Blake said, "Look at Lydia's penis." Trent corrected him and said, "Blake girls don't have penis's, it is a private word. It is a Uranus." A couple days before Trent had brought home a miniature solar system!! Very funny!

I went to a CPR class at Laura Turner's house! My mom, Jen, Jill, Jenny Lund, and Josh came too! The teacher was saying that we are a key part in saving some one's life but it is like a chain! The last link is the paramedic!! In essence you save the life but get no credit. Then I said softly "Unless you follow the ambulance!" Jill and I could not stop laughing for 20 minutes! It was awful!! I was trying so hard to stop! I could not look at her!!

Basketball

Trent's paper basketball game!! Love it!! (Made these after Uncle James started teaching them 3D drawing techniques at Grandma Evelyn's sleepover!)

Grant decided to spend some of his money after saving for at least 5 months!! Very exciting!!

Collector

I love my little collector!! She gathers and puts it on!!

Grant's 1st Tooth

Sunday night Grant was teaching Lydia how to spin the big stick! It was so funny!! She was trying so hard! Josh got it on video!!

Then Josh and I started talking about calling the dentist because Grant's front tooth had to come out! We worried the permanent was being pushed back! The front tooth was loose then the permanent made it tight again! Grant wanted dad to try to get it out! With some floss and his nail Josh had it almost out! Grant twisted and it was out!!! YEAH!!! Tooth $1, First tooth $1, Sunday $1

Ramp

Josh built a ramp for his Grandpa Stanton today! It amazes me how willing he is to do anything for anyone!! He freely gives of himself, his time, his talents and his knowledge to anyone in need!! I am grateful for this ramp building man!!

We got a basketball hoop for the backyard on Monday,January 30!! The boys were thrilled!!

Lydia kept sitting on the stool when I was taking the stool shoes picture, so I wanted to post it!!

Grandpa Stanton fell a couple weeks ago and injured his leg!! He was laying in the backyard for 15 - 20 minutes! The mail-man heard him! Because of the severity of the damage done, the doctors and family decided the best option for him would be to amputate his leg above the knee. He has had such a positive outlook about the whole thing and has been an amazing example to all of us! We went to visit him and got these HORRIBLE pictures! They were so bad I had to post them!! When Grant had Lydia on his back he walked up close by Grandpa and she kind of tilted away, Grant said, "Grandpa sorry she doesn't really know you, she was just born a bit ago!" I was trying so hard not to laugh until the parking lot!! When we first got in the room, Trent looked at Blake, who was standing on a chair, and whispered, "Blake are you scared or are you ok?" Blake got the cutest look of indecision on his face and said, "um um um um I'm ok Trent!"

Grant accidentally nailed Blake in the eye with the metal bat, while trying to hit the tee! I was gone and Josh said it was HUGE!!! After an hour and 45 minutes of ice I came home! It was still HUGE!!! It had been double what I saw! This is a photo Jared Burr got for me later that night at basketball!! I wish we had a photo of the original!!! (It is now purple and yellow!)

President's Day

Went sledding with the Becker's and had so much fun!! Lydia loved it!! Grant made a jump!! Blake wanted to get in the car!! Then Josh and Ben had a business lunch and we went back to the Becker's house!! We missed John Benjamin though!!

Valentine's Day

I did not do a good job with pictures!! We had doughnuts, pears and got Happy Nappers!! Then everyone except Blake headed to Freedom! Dad took Blake to school! I Substituted for Mr. C at 8am! (I do that sometimes for a few hours!) Canceled Becca KOTM, I wasn't home yet and Lydia is walking! Ran home to change Miss Lyd (who was in her jammies) and ran back for Trent's class party at 10am - - I did airplanes from Oriental Trading! Grandma Gayle went to Grant's class party to help and Grant was thrilled!!! Grandma trumps me with ease!

In Grant's classroom, we were done with Trent!

Headed home to put Lyd down for a minute! Cleaned up! Checked Trent out early! We all headed to Grandma Laura's house to wish her Happy Birthday and Happy Valentine's Day! She was leaving to go to dinner with the Lindfields, Dawn was picking her up! So we hurried and made it!! The boys wanted me to drive really fast!!! Headed to my folks for a RED dinner!! Surprise Dad got to meet us there!! Meatballs, spaghetti, treats, delicious!!! Dad headed for a city meeting and we did some activities!!
