Temple Hill Resort

July 8 - 10 we went down to Manti with the Beckers! We stopped for a hamburger at the Malt Shop Friday with Ben and Beckee and then arrived at Temple Hill resort. We camped in Nate's trailer! It rained a little before we went to sleep, but otherwise the weather was perfect! I was a little paranoid of mosquitoes because they love me! The next morning we had breakfast and then headed to Palisades Lake! We played in the water and rented paddle boats and canoes. The kids loved it!! Some of the cousins were catching little fish and putting them in water bottles. We had lunch, played some more, and headed back to camp. We all piled onto a trailer for a tour of Manti. We saw the temple and found the house where Fredrick Walter Cox (one of our great grandpas) lived. He was a wagon maker and stayed at Winter Quarters to help make wagons. He was with one of the last companies to come across the plains. They settled Manti. His son (or grandson) was later called to settle Ferron. Fredrick was killed in a logging accident in 1879 at the age of 67. It was interesting! We had dinner and rode the 4-wheelers some more!! Sunday morning we had Mountain Man breakfast and muffins, packed up camp and headed home!! We had so much fun!!! View of the temple from camp!
