San Antonio

Grant had a soccer game at 8am! We were up at 6:30, it was raining, Josh was heading to San Antonio with Jared at 7! The field stayed on green! My Dad, Grant and I ran to Milburn to have Grant there by 7:30! It was early, cold, wet and the kids were still asleep! I had not slept well worrying how I was going to have everyone (including a puppy) ready for San Antonio and to Milburn by 7:30! When we got there it was absolutely pouring! Once Grant got to the middle of the field I checked my phone and it was red! I was relieved! Now I could keep the kids dry (change Grant) and get ready to go! We went home, got ready and headed to Einsteins! It was fun to eat at Einsteins while it was pouring rain! We had hot chocolate and bagels and headed to San Antonio! Josh and I both got our temple recommends hoping to go on the 11th! We went to the stake on separate nights! Turns out the temple was closed for cleaning!!  We had decided to go anyway (plus Josh needed to go with Jared!)

River Walk

River Boat Ride - the puppy was not allowed, so Josh and I stayed back and sat with Theo!  People stopped to look at him, kiss him, hold him! It was so funny! 

We drove to the temple! The gates were locked, but it looked beautiful!  As Grant and I walked around the temple together to see if there was a place we could get in, Grant started to sing "I love to see the temple!" I sang with him, then stopped as I confused verses! He said, "Keep singing mom!" It was so sweet! Brought tears to my eyes!  

 Hit Buc-ee's, the coolest gas station ever, Cracker Barrel and headed home! We could not decide if we wanted to stay the night or not! With Theo it was easiest just to go home! 

Reese's Visit

We left the airport and drove straight to the school to check the boys out! We didn't want to go home because the kids wanted to surprise Grandma and Grandpa with Theo! We went to Torchey's Tacos! 

Then we checked Trent out! Grandma and Grandpa got to meet Theo and see the house! Trent and Grandpa went for haircuts! 

Grandma brought this costume for me! Blake came walking downstairs, "There's a beautiful princess in the house!"

We went to dinner at the Hula Hut! The wind kicked up a little bit, which I loved!!!  Blake was not sure about eating on a big dock with water under us! 

Grandpa wanted to go to Baskin Robbins on the way home! Lydia said, "Let's go to 1,000 Flavors!"

Walk for Winkely

Today was Walk For Winkley! The boys combined their money to make sure they would get an Angry Bird remote control balloon!  

They started by stretching in the gym! 

I was the lap puncher for Grant's class, so Josh got a few pictures for me with his phone! Blake's pictures are great quality because I got them off of his class website! 

Grant ran at 8:50am!

Blake ran at 1:50pm, Lydia and I were picking up Grandma and Grandpa from the airport!

Afterward they all got popsicles!

Lydia's Pal Theo

Theodore

Sunday night Josh found puppies online for a great price! He has been searching for puppies constantly! The thought of a dog made me so nervous I felt sick!  We had been discussing everything a dog does for kids!  A neighbor of ours said, "Having a dog when you are a kid is different than having a dog as an adult!" This rang true to me and I knew I needed to put the kids first!  We drove about an hour and 45 minutes to meet Paula! It took a few minutes to pick which dog! Lydia whispered in my ear, "Can we take one home?" We had not told her where we were going! We could tell she was excited!  Josh spotted that this little guy was not barking as much as the rest! We picked this little Morkie!

Josh and Lydia went to Pet Smart to get food and dishes! We wanted Lydia out of the house until Trent got home! We did not want the surprise ruined! When Grant and Blake got home they saw a bowl of water by the back door! They ran into the backyard to see if we had a dog! I said, "Oh sorry, Justin and Nicole were here today with their dogs!" It was the same bowl we let Justin and Nicole use for their dogs when they came over once! Wish I moved the bowl!  Tried to get the boys homework done! We went to get Trent! Meanwhile Lydia and Josh put Theo in a big cardboard box in the family room! I ran into the house so I could video! Blake was the first one in, saw him and yelled for the boys! They were all thrilled!!! It was so neat!!!

Lydia was very upset the boys were holding "her" dog!

 Theo cried a bit the first night! Not as bad as I expected!

Little Pool

I was trying to get ready for Activity Days and Lydia really wanted to dump water on herself from a cup! She put on her swimsuit and found this tray! She wanted to make a "little pool!" I thought, the boys are at school, she needs to do this! She is with me all the time running to do all the things I do! She was thrilled!  She filled it with cups of water and I sat outside with her!
