Round Rock Express

Trent's Sunday School teacher and his son invited Trent to this game!  He had a great time! We went down the street to the Brown's driveway where all the neighbors were gathered! (adults drink and kids play) Grant was so tired after the first week of school, sitting in the driveway almost crying, I took him (Blake and Lyd too) home and put them to bed!!

Meet the Missionaries

Elder Clayson and Elder Lam
We loved getting to know the missionaries tonight!!  They were craving fried chicken so we went to Raising Cane's!
They gave us the first discussion! It was awesome!  They told us about the gal who received holy ghost last Sunday!  When they had her stand and welcomed her to the ward by raising our hands, it was awesome! The look on her face was priceless!!  She mouthed thank you!   The missionaries said teaching her was weird at first, weird beliefs, then her whole countenance changed!  Her grandfather on his death bed said listen to the two men who knock on your door in white shirts! They said it took her a minute to realize they were them!!  I was watching Trent and Grant listen to the missionaries tell this story! It was so cool!  So nice having them over! They left, we made cookies, they came back, Josh drove them home and put their bikes in his truck!!

Lydia's House

Lydia kept taking blankets, baskets, clean clothes, anything in the room and making a house on the carpet! She had me make a sign today! I loved it!!

Bats

We met the Thain's at Hopdoddy's on So. Congress! It was delicious!!!  The wait was long so we had to bust it to the bats!!!  Austin has fewer bugs thanks to the bats that live under the bridge!! They come out at dusk! People gather to watch or pay for boat or ferry rides! When we got to the candy store, Big Top, it was closed! We looked in the window and can't wait to go back!!

Trent, Grant, Josh, Ava, Bella, Jared, Erin, Blake, Austin, Lydia

When we got home, Blake said, "Mom will you open this water bottle? I need a drink, my body is not funjicating!" Blake and Lyd laughed and laughed!! I did too!!  Grant looks at me and said, "Yellow!" (We had had a conversation about color coding personalities and Grant knew Blake was yellow, all about fun!!)

Blake's Birthday, 6!!

The night before Blake's birthday we tried to straighten up enough for it to be nice for Blake! We were in the middle of unpacking and all of the craziness!  Stopping and spending the day together having fun was just what we needed!!
Blake found a net in the birthday blanket with a note to go to the hutch!

There was a Beta Fish!!

Grandma and Grandpa sent him cookies and balloons!! Very exciting!!

We did a few presents, had crepes and Blake and Grant went outside to play soccer!

We went to Veteran's Pool! It was even more fun then we expected!!  It had a deep part! Most pools in Texas don't because of the limestone!

Olive Garden

We went to see Planes 2, which we loved!!

After the movie we sat in BaskinRobbins and Blake tried to decide if he wanted ice cream (no wild and reckless) or a cake or ???  Blake had thought yogurt but then changed his mind! We ended up at McDonalds because he wanted a smoothie!!  We headed home and sang to this wild man!!! These 2 danced through the whole song!!

Love this little man and had a great day!!!

2525 Quick Fort Drive

It felt wild when we arrived! We were all so excited to see the house!!  Then it felt soooo over whelming (which feeling would last for weeks!!)

After meeting a few neighbors we headed to Mighty Fine! Delicious burger place with an automatic hand washer! (They say a car wash for your hands!)

This is a text I sent to our Mom's with a few beginning details! (Sunday, July 27)
"Church was good! People friendly! We were 1 of 4 new families! Some of the kids go to different schools, we really want Trent to meet a cool 6th grader bc he is excited!! Church was also a little hard starting over and not knowing anyone!! Many many nice people!! Beth brought us cupcakes (YW pres) hard to get ready this morning finding things!! Thains (people from lehi) had us to dinner! Kids really had fun with their girls! (5th grade and 2nd grade girls) yesterday neighbor wanted to take us swimming today (bc we don't have our pool key yet) and we had to say be at church, another guy(Brian  next door, nice) said "wow you already found a church" we said, we are mormon:-)) I would rather them know!! It felt funny and awesome!!"
