The Zoo

The Reese girls were supposed to go to the zoo today!  Due to chilly weather we switched to the Kangaroo Zoo!!

St. Patrick's Day

The Leprechauns brought some green surprises (sticky lizards and candy) and tinkled in our toilet!  Lydia could not believe it, she was so cute!!

Blake

Blake's pre-school teacher texted me: Blake just told me “I use my magical powers to give him manners and make him learn"  bahaha, good thing I have magical powers!

I asked Blake how Miss Tanya does it!  He got a very serious look on his face and thought really hard, "Mom, I can't figure it out!"

Ariel

Lydia wanted this Ariel swimsuit from Old Navy! She had a gift card from Christmas so we bought it!  All the boys and neighbors were playing in the front yard! I looked out the window and there was Lydia sitting by the gravel pit singing!  This was not a super warm day!!  But she wears swimsuits ALL the time!!  (all through the winter)

BLAKE the BIKE RIDER

Trent taught Blake to ride a bike today!!!  (Yesterday had a little lesson!) WOW!!!

Josh and I are so excited!! I can't wait for summer!!

Josh left for AZ Thursday afternoon (March 7!)  He and mission buddies went to see President and Sister Ballard! (President's cancer is back for the third time!) Also Annette Steven's, who lived with us 2 years ago, got baptized!!  Chris and Annette

Trent got in the car after school and said he needed to do some squat jumps for Park our! (boys tumbling class) Grant said, "My teacher won't let me do squat jumps, but she did today during journals because I told her I have to do them!" Very confused I asked what teacher! He said Mrs. Iverson, his school teacher!! I immediately wanted to laugh and asked Grant to explain! He said during journals he did squat jumps by his desk! I asked if everyone was watching him! He said no they were too busy on their journals and he was so fast he had time for both! I could not stop laughing picturing my cute Grant doing squat jumps next to his desk! Not to mention convincing his teacher it needed to be done!!!
Lydia said the other day, "How about if I tinkle in my pull-up I lose a dollar!" HaHa She listens to everything that goes on around here!!!
Blake has been very scared of Medusa from Percy Jackson! His eyes were covered and he did not see Medusa but it has caused him great stress and fear!! (Which could be the problem, he needs to see it!) For the past 4 weeks the child has not been alone! I take him to the bathroom, the garbage can etc. EVERYWHERE he goes or I go he has to be with me! When I am holding the laundry basket and can't see him I step on him, because he is always by me! I am hoping this gets better soon!! It is suffocating me!!! Lydia is copying and saying she is scared to do things alone! Oh No!!!

I was explaining to Blake that Medusa had long beautiful hair and she was snotty, and thought she was better than everyone else so the gods cursed her with snakes on her head! His response, "Was she blowing boogies?" So we talked about snotty meaning bratty!!

Lydia loves to pray and said the funniest prayer when Josh was in AZ, "Thank that dad gets a job, thank you that dad made dinner, thank you that mom and dad made dinner again, thank you that I could get in my Jammie's with Grant, thank you that I can put on my shoes, thank you that Trent had a boogie and got a tissue, thank you that mom read books to me!!!"

Jazz Game

We went to a Jazz Game with the Reese's!!  Tickets came with a hot dog!!

Autorama

We spent the morning cleaning out the rental basement for Josh!  Actually we carried out previous occupants' garbage that was left in storage areas!  The boys did great with load after load after load!  We made a huge pile in the garage that Josh loaded into his truck!!

After that we met Grandma, Paul and Chera at Sweet Tomatoes for lunch!  Then off to Autorama!  The kids really do enjoy seeing all the cars!  This car they saw when it was being built!  I will post some pictures below!

Details

The other day I was trying to get the kids to quickly eat before going to a tumbling class with the Simmons!  Blake came over and said, "Don't worry mom, I'm not hungry, I'll just eat there, they have a drinking fountain!"

When Lydia does not like something I say or do she responds, "I'm not going to play with you!"  Which has now turned into "I'm not going to play with you ever again!"  Then a minute later, "Sorry mom, I want to play with you I do!!"

The other morning the boys climbed in with Josh while I was exercising! I came back and cracked up that Grant was cupping his chin!!
