December - March Journal

Dec. 6
Theo got Lydia‘s little duck. Verne asked her if she could find the foot and he would help her stitch it back on. She replied, “I can’t, it is in Theo’s digestive track.”😂

Jan. 13
Driving to piano, Reading scriptures, talking about Nephi having to cut off Laban’s head because the Lord told him to, Blake said, “I would need the Lord to be standing right in front of me to put a toothpick under my toenail and kick the wall.”

Jan. 18
The alarm went off at the hotel (Evelyn's wedding trip) and Lydia said, “There is the alarm, if you want to get up and going I’m down.”

Jan. 24
Grant was at the rec playing basketball with friends. Sometimes they walked in and out or Costco to get food.
There were some kids there and they came over and asked Grant and his friends if they wanted to 2V4? They said sure but you can have Reed so it would be a 3V3. The boy said to them “We don’t need him, don’t y’all go to Running Brushy this will be an easy ass whooping.”
Grant’s response “ Don’t you go to Cedar Park, your an automatic douche bag.”
And then I think Grant said something about them not being coached at running Brushy :-)

Saturday, February 1 they played that same kid in a tournament at Wiley. Cedar Park beat running brushy by a lot. That same kid from the rec, who rode the bench during the game, said to Grant after the game “Man close game.” Grant’s response “Save it for the rec.”

Bean bag incident - ask Blake or Lyd. The bean bag has been disposed of and Grant changed before school.

Lydia loves the Fort neighbor girls and wants to play with them all the time!

Will T in Blake’s class at Mason! Hooray! Made 5th grade so nice for Blake! 

Blake really struggled with Juan his Soccer Coach. It was hard. He wanted to quit. After lots of talking and tears he said to me one day in the car, I guess I can just change my mindset! 

Kids SO excited for theater to be finished! I mean so excited! 

Grant no sleepover on Feb 14, (Hayden's house) he was sad and really wanted to, then driving home told me thanks for letting me stay till midnight. What a sweetheart! 

Trent's last game Fry played his OWN team OWN subs, 3 of 5 three’s 15 points , made all 6 free throw shots! GREAT game! Thank you Fry. And we are done. 

Halftime show for SuperBowl, my totally awesome boys felt like was porn, they were not impressed. Well, I am totally impressed by them!!  

March 5
Lyd doing double homework one night, turns out she was doing Sharia's homework bc he had a  broken arm and he needed help, so cute!! haha!!

Memories:
When we lived on Quick Fort we went to a nursing home with the Appelbaum‘s to play some games with the residence on good Friday and Grant met Marvin.  We wanted to go back and visit him and Grant just loved him. He kept talking on the way home about making a shirt saying I heart Marvin. 

Logan sharting at Hayden wells birthday out in the field playing night games. he ditched his underwear and everyone called him commando for a while😂 Mr. Evin started the nickname, haha!

March 13 Friday temples closed, I thought they closed the 12th so I didn't go on the 13th. 15th church at home.

Spring break then turned to Quarantine and home school. I don't even know what to say. The frustration, the insanity, the media, I will post some of my favorite screenshots during this time.
