Meredith's wedding! After much searching, Catherine helped me with the dress and Nordstrom Rack and Amazon helped with the shrugs. We flew out Friday night, leaving Grant at the church for the 11 year old campout, Trent at the Canfields, Blake and Lydia at the Leavitt's and Theo at the Barbers. Saturday afternoon Beth gathered all to her house till Sunday when we picked them up.
Friday night my folks and Rick picked us up, take Rick home and went to Islands. Saturday morning I had to be to the Country Club at 9am. They had food and everyone got their hair and make-up done.
Meanwhile Josh and my folks went to Tommy's and a movie.
In the afternoon, we all started talking about my dress and my shrug etc. It was such a relief to me to discuss it so I wouldn't feel so weird at changing time. Ends up the girls wanted to give me their extra fabric from their hem lines, I didn't get that word, but it all worked out. I appreciated that.
I had no voice on Saturday. It took my breath away to converse. Blake called me from the Leavitt's and said he had staples in his leg. Ends up staples cut him. He was very upset, even more upset when he thought I was crying. It was just my voice, I could hardly talk. I was trying to help him, when he said, "I said a prayer mom, and it is working." My heart melted!
Mr. Butler and Mere
My handsome man and me
Mere and Charles
We got these cute little apple pies to take back to the hotel and Josh and my folks had See's for me!
Sunday morning we went to breakfast, very fun, then drove around Glendale.
Balboa, where my mom waited for me my first day of Kindergarten!
Looking toward the sixth grade door. I use to stand on that porch!
Quick trip but great! The kids had no school Monday, which was very nice!! We picked them up about 6:30.
